With so much insanity in the world and the news highlighting TOO much of it, I encourage each of you to think about what you are grateful for every day.
Here is my short list. My wife, family, my friends, Will Keim who has so far kept his cancer at bay-keep it up my friend, my cousins who I love and cherish deeply for the memories and for what lies ahead, my health as I continue to play hockey, backpack, kayak, fish, play guitar, and for my memories of my mom who I miss. There are many more.
What are yours?

Ahh…yes. Hard to believe we’ve been close friends for 35 years and only lived in the same city for less than 2 years! Nothing like sleeping in a tent with a guy for days and days to create a bond that can’t be broken.
Thanks for sharing Rees.
I particularly like your gratitude for the ‘beauty of the world around us’.

I am most grateful for my husband, who puts up with me, my children, who are all very successful and doing well, my health, which allows me to travel, spend time with great friends, take care of the house we comfortably live in, and my dear family near and far.

My family; a husband I keep growing with, a son who is so kind-hearted and fun to be with, a mom who is so supportive of everyone and so engaged with her children and grandchildren, the immediate and wider family circle that bring me many laughs throughout the year. Time to spend with everyone and time to relax. My health and the powerful foods bringing nourishment and healing to my body. Things to look forward to and joyful moments to reflect upon. Having enough and having some to share. Friends and colleagues who keep me going and keep me laughing.

Thanks Kristina for sharing. I am also grateful that we will be presenting together again at NACADA Region 1 in Portland this year. I always have so much fun bantering back and forth and sharing quality career information to help others grow.

Hey Jim,
I am, today, especially grateful for my wife’s patience with me as I struggle to adapt to life in north Georgia (which gets easier by the day.) I am grateful that I can still pick up the phone and hear my father’s calm and loving voice.
And all the rest, of course, including that I have a fishing trip in June with you Mark to look forward to.
Love,
Jim
Jim Peacock says
Ahh yes, a wife’s patience. Let me add that to mine too 🙂
It’s interesting that you note the fishing trip as that is something in the future that we can look forward to, yet we can be grateful for it today too.
Thanks my friend.
