How To Successfully Build Your LinkedIn Network and Beyond:
And Why It’s Important
WEBINAR recorded Friday, September 20, 2019
Presenter: Bob McIntosh
When you hear, “Connect with people you don’t know on LinkedIn,” do you feel slightly uneasy? Do you wonder why you should connect with complete strangers? Of do you outright refuse to do it? As someone who has connected with LinkedIn users unknown to me, I get it. I used to feel uncomfortable asking people to join my network. Further, I wondered why anyone outside my circle of colleagues and friends would want to connect with me.
Then it occurred to me that the purpose of LinkedIn is to build a network of like-minded people, regardless if I know them. I also realized that opportunities wouldn’t present themselves if I stayed within my comfort zone. Well, opportunities have presented themselves. Now I’m among the well-known LinkedIn trainers out there. But it hasn’t come without work. To be successful on LinkedIn, one must go BEYOND.
